TURNER – Zach Burgess scored his second goal of the game with 10:26 left in the game to propel Leavitt to a 2-1 win over Mt. Blue in KVAC soccer action Friday afternoon.

Burgess’ goal came off a ricochet, when the ball struck his chest and deflected into the goal from approximately 20 yards out.

Joe French scored an unassisted goal at 29:31 of the second half for the Cougars (2-3-2) to avoid the shutout.

Tom Anderson turned back six shots to record the win, while Brian Leighton made eight saves for the Hornets (1-4).

Lewiston 4, Messalonskee 0

OAKLAND – Lewiston’s Mohamed Mohamed, Dave Patry, Dave LaBonte and Matt Cyr scored a goal apiece to lead the Blue Devils to a 4-0 victory over Messalonskee.

Nate Farnsworth had two assists for Lewiston (4-2-1). Blue Devils’ goalie Brain Nason made two saves for the shutout.

Winslow 6, Oak Hill 2

WALES – Alley Smith converted a feed from Juan Loubier late in the first half to send Winslow to a 6-2 decision over Oak Hill in soccer action.

Winslow added three more goals in the second half to put the game out of reach with Owen Smith, Drew Smith, and Colin Hay each finding the back of the net in the victory.

Jeremy Levesque and Brian Bisson accounted for the Oak Hill scoring.
