Could it be possible that the big push by the Maine Municipal Association to kill the tax cap is to bring about the destruction of free Maine as we know it?

I received a call from a Maine group being formed that plans to take personal action if the tax cap is shot down.

Members of this group will work to see private land closed to ATV, snowshoeing, cross country ski trails, woods for hunting, trapping, fishing, snowmobile trails, hiking and whatever and put in place use fees to help cover the landowners property taxes.

Can it be possible, thanks to the Maine Municipal Association, plus their clones fighting for handouts in town governments, the wide-open spaces of Maine woods will end forever unless we pay to use it?

Think of it! “Maine! The way life ought to be! If you got the dollars to pay to use and see it!”

Will small landowners like me or big landowners along with our overtaxed farmers be forced to close our lands and charge admission to use them just because our legislators were not willing to straighten out and give meaningful property tax relief?

Could it now be possible the Maine State Chamber of Commerce has joined the anti-tax cap people pushing their big scam calling it property tax relief for Maine?

Think about what is best for Maine, and vote for the Palesky tax cap.
