SKOWHEGAN – The seventh annual Special Olympics Maine Equestrian Competition is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Skowhegan Fair starting at 9 a.m.

Participating stables include Friendship Stables of Augusta; West Street USA, Gardiner; Healing Horses, Bowdoin; Kindred Spirits, Augusta; Double J. Riding Stable, Anson; Drinkwater School, Northport; Freedom Riders, Rockport; Willowind, Bar Harbor; Hearts n Horses, Buxton; Pendragon Farm, Cornville; Angel Winged Riders, Poland; Someday Farm, Hermon; Rocking S Ranch, Fort Fairfield.

Athletes will test their skills in 4 events, English Equitation, Western Equitation, Showmanship, and Working Trails. Admission is free.
