Anyone who tirelessly fights for children’s and elders’ health must be worth listening to. With that said, I enthusiastically write in support of Roy Gedat, candidate for state representative for Norway, Greenwood, Waterford and West Paris in District 95.

I first met Roy 18 years ago as a maternal/child nurse when he became director of the Child Health Center in Norway. The center grew tremendously under Roy’s strong leadership and vision to incorporate creative and successful programs, such as The Parent Place, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the preschool and teen outreach.

Roy is using this same energy to help our elders get cheaper medications by organizing a bus trip to Canada. Making health care available and affordable for everyone is the right thing to do. Roy gets it.

He listens, thinks and enthusiastically gets to work to make visions become reality.

I’m supporting Roy Gedat on Nov. 2.
