AUBURN – Mark St. Hilaire converted a feed from Nate Guerette at 30:15 of the first half to lift Edward Little to a 2-0 win over Gardiner in KVAC boys’ soccer action Saturday.
Sean Favreau added an insurance goal, effectively putting the game out of reach.
B.J. Leavasseur needed only three saves to record the shutout.
Leavitt 7, Lawrence 1
FAIRFIELD – Jeff Truchon scored a hat trick to propel Leavitt to a convincing 7-1 win over Lawrence in KVAC soccer Saturday.
Brent Parker and Scott Burgess each added a pair of goals to put the game out of reach as the Hornets (2-5-1) cruised to their second win of the season.
Brian Leighton made six saves in goal to register the win. Josh Saunders scored the Bulldogs’ lone goal.
Mt. Abram 3, Telstar 1
SALEM – Jordan Norton scored the game-winning goal, converting a pass from Sam Witherspooon in the second half to lift Mt. Abram to a 3-1 win over Telstar in boys’ soccer action Saturday afternoon.
Aaron Adams opened the scoring for the Roadrunners while Witherspoon added an insurance goal in the second half as the Roadrunners (10-0) remain perfect on the season.
Andy Sperry needed only three saves in net to register the win.
The Rebels’ (5-3) lone goal was scored by Bake Conrad off a penalty kick. Terry Collins made 10 saves on 17 shots.
Georges Valley 2, Monmouth 0
THOMASTON – Jessie Wilgue and Nick Lunt each scored a first-half goal to lead Georges Valley to a 2-0 win over Monmouth in MVC soccer Saturday.
Matt Judkony needed only three saves to register the shutout. The Mustangs’ Kyle Pelletier made 14 saves on 17 shots.
Mountain Valley 1, Wiscasset 1
RUMFORD – Jon Gamble scored on a crossing pass from Jeremy Childs late in the first half to tie the game and Mountain Valley held on through a fast and physical second half to salvage a 1-1 tie for homecoming.
Craig Zeigler stole a pass in the Falcons’ end and scored to put Wiscasset up less than nine minutes into the game before Gamble tied it with 4:45 left in the half.
Zach Hartman made 11 saves in net for Wiscasset. Cory Wilson stopped 12 shots for the Falcons (3-4-2).
Hebron 4, Richmond 2
RICHMOND – Greg Cox dominated the offense with four goals as Hebron took a 4-2 victory from Richmond in boys’ soccer action Saturday.
Zach Brown scored the opening goal at the 32:50 mark to give the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead.
Kyle Lancaster made 13 saves for Richmond, while Hebron goalie Bill Hickey recorded seven saves for the win.
