AUBURN – Charlotte P. Michelson, 85, formerly of Barker Mill Apartments, Auburn, died Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Clover Manor Nursing Home, Auburn, where she had been a resident since June of 2003.

Born in Detroit, Mich., on June 18, 1919, she was the daughter of Sumner and Charlotte Burns Davis.

She was educated in Detroit and Newton, Mass., schools.

She married Rudolph F. Michelson in Newton, Mass., in 1941. Mr. Michelson passed away on July 13, 1973.

She was employed in the office of a computer software company in Massachusetts for many years, and moved to the local area in 1984 from Natick, Mass.

She attended Park Street Methodist Church in Auburn, and the Calvary Methodist Church in Lewiston.

She was a member of Robin Dow Seniors, and was formerly active in the Methodist Women’s Fellowship, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed reading, tole painting, and painting still lifes in watercolor.

Survivors include a son, Carl F. of Lisbon; a daughter, Lois and her husband, John Wilson, of Auburn; a sister, Olive Sutherland of Watertown, Mass.; four grandchildren, John S. Wilson, Christopher J. Wilson, Brian M. Wilson, and Jenny Mitchell; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
