GREENE – Bob DeLoss will narrate his film, “America’s Amazing Places” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, and 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road. Admission is free and doors open an hour before the show.
DeLoss’ travels have taken him to 45 countries around the world and into every state in the U.S. He is best described as a naturalist adventurer and educator.
He began his career as a broadcast journalist in radio and television during which time he covered events ranging from presidential campaigns to regional politics. DeLoss has led tour groups to nearly every continent and locations within the continental United States.
DeLoss has academic undergraduate degrees in zoology and botany, and has advanced degrees in geology and astronomy. His background as an educator ranges from working with young people to promoting continuing educational programs for retirees. He is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in education.

These are just some of the stories that DeLoss tells during his latest film, “American’s Amazing Places.”
