MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – A woman and her two young children apparently were killed at the home of her brother, who ran in front of a truck on a nearby interstate shortly before the bodies were found, according to authorities and news reports.

The bodies of Tricia Doyle, 30, her 4-year-old daughter Gillian, and 2-year-old son, James, all of Hooksett, were found about 9 p.m. Monday at the home of Doyle’s brother Chris Bernard, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Bernard, 35, was struck by a dump truck when he ran onto I-93 about three hours earlier, WMUR-TV reported. He was in good condition Tuesday evening at Elliot Hospital.

State police would not confirm that he was the man struck by the truck.

Police who went to his house, at 61 Johnson St., to check on someone’s welfare found the bodies, said Jeffery Strelzin, a senior assistant attorney general. Strelzin would not say who requested the check, and authorities declined to say how the three died pending autopsy results expected today.

Strelzin declined to comment on what might have happened, but said there were no suspects in the deaths. Authorities said they did not believe the public was at risk, however.

A woman who answered the phone at the Hooksett home of Tricia Doyle and her husband Robert declined to comment. Two people in the driveway outside the home also declined to comment and asked reporters to leave.

Hooksett police referred questions to the attorney general’s office.

Bernard lived on the same downtown street as his parents, Robert and Patricia Bernard. Reached by phone Tuesday, Patricia Bernard declined to talk and started crying. A neighbor outside told reporters to go away.

Bernard owned the home where the bodies were found with his wife, Kim.
