Dear Sun Spots: Would you be able to tell me where I could find a business in the Lewiston or Auburn area that sells new karaoke machines and mikes, and services them? – No Name, No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots spoke with Jeff at L-A Music Factory, 48 Commercial St., Lewiston, (207) 783-0058 who says they carry high-end equipment, the kind that disc jockeys or bands use. You may want to contact him to discuss your needs. Jeff would be happy to assist you and recommends you call him first. If you are merely looking for something for the children in the family, you might want to check a store such as WalMart, Target or Circuit City to obtain a less-expensive machine.

Dear Sun Spots: I am the Lewiston Middle School sewing teacher, and I am in need of some more fabric to make pillows and a quilt with the eighth-graders. If anyone has scraps of fabric they would like to donate, it would be a big help to my program. You can drop of any fabric in the main office at LMS. Thank you to all who are willing to help! – Annette Caldwell, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Help! I am looking for information on “Chivalry Arms Live Steel,” featuring Lord Alexander. This event was to be at the Balloon Festival. The rain kept me away, and I am hoping there is a reader in the area who has photos. Or if Sun Spots has any details of this presentation, I would sure appreciate it. Please contact Heidi at (207) 375-4435. Thank you kindly. – Heidi, No Town.
