AUGUSTA – Hildie J. Lipson of Wayne has been hired as new executive director of MaineShare.

MaineShare is a funding cooperative for 36 statewide nonprofit organizations that raises money and awareness for its member groups primarily through annual workplace giving campaigns.

The MaineShare Board of Directors unanimously chose Lipson based on her knowledge of workplace giving, her vision of expanding MaineShare opportunities, her grant-writing skills, her passion for the mission, and her history with Maine’s grassroots community. She previously worked as the campaign coordinator of MaineShare, a position she held for nine years.
