NORWAY – Area organizations are working together to bring a day of safe and fun Halloween events to downtown Norway on Oct. 29.
As part of the events, Norway Downtown Revitalization is sponsoring a Halloween window-decorating contest that the public can participate in.
Main Street businesses will be dressing up their storefront windows with creative designs all month. The public is being invited to tour Main Street through Wednesday, Oct. 20, and vote for a favorite window to win the People’s Choice Award.
Ballot boxes are at the Town Office, the Norway Library and Downtown Revitalization Office, which is over the Fare Share Market. When people cast a vote, they can enter to win a Halloween prize.
On Oct. 29 the winning windows will display their certificates. Businesses interested in participating, and others, may obtain more information, by calling call 739-2215.
The organizations working on the project are the Downtown Revitalization Office, Norway Parks and Recreation, the Norway Business Association, Norway Memorial Library and Club Rowe, an after-school program at Rowe Elementary School.
