AUBURN – The public is invited to attend the Franco-American Genealogy Fair to be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, sponsored by the Maine Franco-American Genealogical Society, at the Fr. Leo Begin Library, Great Falls School, High Street.

The fair is for individuals interested in sharing their Franco-American family research. It will be an opportunity to see what others are doing on their family lines that may coincide. It is hoped other Franco-American societies will bring their publications and family research projects to share.

The Fr. Leo E. Begin Library book collections, microfiche and computer programs will be made available. Among the research resources the society has acquired is the Blue Drouin Collection. A copier will be available.

Participants are encouraged bring a brown bag lunch and research papers.

The state society’s general meeting will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. for members, followed by the fair from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There is be no registration fee, but there will be a fee for copying and refreshments.
