BRIDGTON – Western Maine Youth Hockey is hosting the annual Open Skate, Sunday, Oct. 17, at Bridgton Ice Arena, located on the campus of Bridgton Academy. Free skating will be observed between 2-4 p.m., with refreshments being served.

Skate rentals will be available.

Western Maine Youth Hockey’s USA Hockey certified coaches will be on hand. The program (ages 5-19) is starting the season with 4 clubs, with hopes of adding a girls’ team. Officials note that all teams are co-ed, but with additional female enrollment a girls’ team could be added. Novice skaters are welcome.
