AUBURN – Marian G. Kelleher, 92, of 30 Shepley St., Auburn, died at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

She was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Bowdoinham, a daughter of Daisy and John Mealey. She was a 1929 graduate of Richmond High School. She was the widow of Joseph Kelleher, who died in 1967. She was employed as a secretary at Sewall and Son shoe factory in Auburn before becoming office manager at Senter’s Department Store in Lewiston.

In 1975, she was appointed by Gov. James Longley to the position of Androscoggin County Clerk of Courts after serving as Deputy Clerk for many years.

She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, shopping, family gatherings, and recently had a renewed interest in watching the Boston Red Sox.

She was a member of the First Auburn Senior Citizens, Androscoggin Chapter of AARP, and Maine Association of Retirees.

She is survived by many special nieces and nephews, including Michael Towle, of Auburn, and Kathleen Cormier, of Minot.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, four brothers, and two sisters, including Hazel Towle in March of this year.
