If someone told you that our country was in danger and that an enemy in a faraway country was threatening us with awful weapons and secret allies and that you needed to send your child to defend our country against this enemy, and then it turned out that that someone didn’t know what he was talking about and didn’t listen to his own experts who told him his information was shaky and wouldn’t let arms inspectors check the situation out, and meanwhile your child died fighting in that far-away country, would you thank that someone by re-electing him president?
