DIXFIELD – Due to the lack of a quorum, Dixfield selectmen last month decided to hold one board meeting in October instead of the usual two.
That meeting is to be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, in the Ludden Memorial Library community room.
Selectmen are to discuss requested information from Town Manager Nanci Allard about the possible impacts to Dixfield of the proposed tax-cap initiative. Then, selectmen are to vote on whether or not to take a stand on the issue.
Tax Assessor John O’Donnell is also on the agenda.
Other agenda topics include reports from department heads, a revenue and expenditure review for September, Town Clerk Vickie Carrier’s report on upcoming elections, and a timberland pass.
Old business items include the town water system’s budget and grants, the road ordinance, town report dedication, a right-of-way issue on Sugarloaf Avenue, and roadwork needs for Morrison Road.
Additionally, an executive session is scheduled to discuss a personnel issue.
