BRIDGTON – Faith Beyea, longtime resident of Bridgton, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 19.

She was born in Portland, on Sept. 11, 1925, daughter of Sinclair Angus and Annie Catherine (MacLean) MacDonald.

She attended schools in Windham. On June 12, 1947, she married Rev. James Gordon Beyea.

She was happy spending time with her family, singing and working for the church. She was employed as a secretary for many years working for Randall Coal in Portland.

When they were first married, the Beyeas lived in Gray later moving to Portsmouth, N.H., and Kittery. While living in Portsmouth, she worked for the Portsmouth Herald setting up newspaper advertisements.

In 1962, the family movied to Bridgton. Mrs. Beyea retired from NCMH Dietary Department in 1987.

She is survived by her sisters, Ida Whitney, of Gray, Jeannie Hall, of Windham, Mary Winant, of Fryeburg; her children, Marilyn and husband, James Thompson, Marjorie and husband, Roland Scribner, Thomas and wife, Lori Beyea; grandchildren, Angela and husband, Joshua Gentry, Corey Thompson, Jessica Scribner, Bobbi Scribner, Michael Beyea and Carly Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Rev. James Gordon Beyea, sisters, Annie Copp, Christine Whitney, brothers, Roderick MacDonald, William MacDonald, Frank MacDonald, Robert MacDonald, and several nieces and nephews.
