BETHEL – Dads Come Play, a father and child event, will be held featuring a trip to Pooh Corner Farm, Bog Road, west of Bethel, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 23. This event is for children of all ages. Leader will be Stub Stone.

Directions to the farm: From Bethel, take Route 2 west for seven miles. Take Bog Road, follow signs for 2 miles to the farm.

Cub Scouts

PARIS – Boys from grades one through five are invited to sign up for Cub Scouts and Halloween fun at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the First Congregational Church across from the Fox School. Cub scouting offers adventures in the outdoors, crafts, living skills, BB, archery and family camping. Boys and their parent are invited to attend this event together. Halloween in Norway

NORWAY – Halloween activities are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 29, on downtown Norway’s Main Street beginning with a Spooky Scavenger Hunt for ages 10 to 13 years from 3 to 4:30 p.m. starting and ending at Norway Memorial Library. There will be ghost stops at the library at 4, 4:30 and 5 p.m. for witch’s brew and goblin treats. Arts and crafts will be offered. Take part in a mystery riddle. Solve it correctly and pick a book out of the grab bag. Photo opportunities will be available with a 3-foot candy corn, spooky ghosts, black cats and pumpkins on the library’s lawn. Businesses are invited to join in the Halloween spirit by having employees wear costumes, offering treats from 3 p.m. to the close of business, and decorating windows. Participating businesses are to have a pumpkin in their window.

Norway Coffeehouse

NORWAY – The Norway Coffeehouse and Open Mic Night will offer a Halloween bash at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the First Universalist Church. Performers sign up at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a $3 donation. Wear your Halloween duds. There will be tricks and treats galore.

Witch’s brew tea

PARIS – The McLaughlin Foundation Garden and Horticultural Center will offer a witch’s brew tea from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the center at 97 Main St. A full high tea will be served by the kitchen coven. Come in costume. Kids may bring a stuffed animal. Admission for grown ghouls $15; under 12, $10. Reservations required. Phone 743-8820.

Norway Rehabilitation

NORWAY – Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center is inviting trick or treaters ages 11 and under to attend a Halloween event from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Center at 29 Marion Ave. Children will visit the haunted cemetery and visit the witches station for some witches brew. UNICEF Harvest Party

HARRISON – United Parish of North Bridgton will hold its UNICEF Harvest Party for children from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Calvary Community Church. Activities will include games and prizes. There will be refreshments for children and their parents. For more information, phone 583-4840.

Longaberger Basket Bingo

NORWAY – A Longaberger Basket Bingo will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Oxford Legion Hall at Route 121 and Skeetfield Road.
