AUBURN – A man and woman were arrested Friday charged with dealing cocaine out of a Turner Street apartment.

Billy Tardiff, 36, was charged with trafficking in cocaine after police and drug agents raided his apartment.

Investigators say Tardiff had been trading cocaine for sex with prostitutes and exotic dancers. He was arrested about 7:30 p.m. after Maine Drug Enforcement agents and Auburn police burst into his home with a warrant.

Gretchen Wilson, 25, address unknown, was also charged with trafficking cocaine. Police described Wilson as an associate of Tardiff’s who was in the Turner Street apartment when it was raided.

Police said Wilson is a dancer with Bodies and Motion and that she and Tardiff were acquainted through that company.

Investigators said the pair have been selling cocaine but that Tardiff was also bartering with strippers as part of his involvement in the local coke trafficking network.

Police said they were tipped off to the couple’s alleged drug dealing by residents who had witnessed the pair trafficking cocaine. Drug agents had been investigating Tardiff and Wilson for about a week before they raided that Turner Street apartment.

Both suspects were being booked late Friday at the Androscoggin County Jail.
