As the cost of health care continues to swell nationwide, Maine has taken the lead to develop a health reform program that will offer quality health care to all its citizens.

Elaine Makas, state representative for District 71, has from the onset been a tireless advocate of affordable health care. Along with her fellow legislators, Elaine has spent countless hours formulating and revising a plan put forth as Dirigo health.

It is comforting to know that there is someone in the Legislature who, when re-elected, will remain vigilant and will continue to strive for improvements in health care to benefit all Maine citizens.
