Maine’s future depends on reversing the Legislature’s hostility to business and job creation. We need Lois Snowe-Mello in the Senate to do that.

Lois currently enjoys a 100 percent pro-business rating from the National Federation of Independent Businesses. She has a 91 percent rating from the Maine Economic Research Institute. These are objective signs whether a legislator supports the businesses we all need to have a strong economy.

Sen. Neria Douglass, on the other hand, has one of the worst records for support of business. She has the second-lowest rating of all Senate candidates with MERI, a dismal 11 percent. She has a 30 percent rating from NFIB.

One must respect her service, but Douglass is out of touch with Maine’s economic needs and the policies that will protect our future.

District 15 should make a positive choice for Maine’s economy and vote for Lois Snowe-Mello.
