CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) – Three rowers from the Cambridge-based Riverside Boat Club won championship races on a course that was shortened from three miles to 2.5 miles because of high winds coming from the northeast at the Head of the Charles regatta .

Cindy Bishop, 34, won the championship women’s singles race with a time of 14:57.572.

Layne Salter and Marika Page won the doubles race with a time of 14:18.092.

Jessica Archibald and Heather Wakeley finished second.
