AUBURN -Walter Strout, 57, of Bolster St. found his way home to the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 23 after a long battle with lung cancer. He passed away peacefully with his family and hospice by his side.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1947, the son of Willis and Leitha (Fogg) Strout and was educated in the Auburn School System.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

His great enjoyment was traveling, helping others and watching the Red Sox.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Arthur Strout; grandparents; brothers-in-law, Robert Stevens, James Hunnewell, Maurice Libby and Raymond Morin.

He is survived by a daughter, Jodi; sisters, Naomi Stevens, Donna Crowell, Martha Hunnewell, Dena Crowell and husband, Jess, Wilma Morin, Melody Hebert and partner, Roger and Roxanne Tremblay and husband, Ron; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
