NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Lydia F. (Richards) Kelly, 90, died Oct. 23, at the Harborside Northwood Nursing Home in Bedford, N.H.

Born in North Andover to the late James and Mildred (Blackstock) Richards, she lived in North Andover all her life.

Mrs. Kelly was a professional secretary at the Lawrence Pumps, Inc. for many years. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in North Andover and was very active in church activities. She joined the church choir as a young girl, taught Sunday School, was a member of the Altar Guild and volunteered for many of the church activities and events. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Kelly belonged to the Lawrence Chapter of Eastern Star. She taught Senior life saving courses and had a passion for gardening.

Widow of Christopher Kelly, who died in 1981, she is survived by her children; Robert Kelly and his wife, Jane, of New Boston, N.H., Christine and her husband, Jim Matheson, of Tulsa, Okla., James Kelly and his wife, Claire, of Lisbon Falls; six grandchildren, Shauna, Ryan, Laurie, Tim, Jeff, Scott; three great-grandchildren, Cole, Owen, and River.

She was the sister to the late Robert Richards.
