LEWISTON – Lucille T. Chasse, 81, of 79 Heather Drive, Lewiston, died Thursday, Oct., 28, at her home following a long illness. Jesus wrapped his arms around her and took her home.

She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 4, 1923, the daughter of Emile and Josephine Grenier Morin. She was educated in local schools, and on June 1, 1946, she married Richard Chasse, who died Dec. 9, 1997.

She was employed for many years as a certified nurse’s aide, and retired from Marcotte Nursing Home. A member of Holy Cross Parish, she enjoyed playing beano, cards, trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas, gardening, and knitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was being with her family.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Linda) Boudreau, of Lewiston, Mrs. Phil (Pat) Marshall, of Marietta, Ga., Mrs. Norman (Lorraine) Langlois, of Lewiston, and Christine Chasse, of Wilton; one brother, Roger Morin, of Jenson Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Michael and wife, Marybeth, Ann and Ric Boudreau, Becca and her husband, John Clevenger, Josh Labrie, and Phillip, and Bobby Marshall; four great-grandchildren, Kaylyn Labonte, Kallie and Danny May, Bo Marshall.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Alpha, Wilfred, and Bertrand Morin, three sisters, Marie Rose Lussier, Armande St. Pierre, Dorothy Martin, and many nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by everyone.
