PARIS – Principal Joseph Moore of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School announces that Paul Apollo has been named Commended Student in the 2005 National Merit Scholarship Program.

A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented by the principal to the senior.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.

Although they will continue in the 2005 competition for Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than one million students who entered the competition by taking the 2003 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
