DIXFIELD – Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Towle of Dixfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Joni Towle of South Portland, to Ben Vickery of Portland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Vickery of Mansfield, Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. John Heidt of Woodstock, Vt.

Miss Towle is a graduate of Dirigo High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Thomas College. She is employed as registered sales assistant at Smith Barney in Portland.

Mr. Vickery is a staff sergeant with the New Hampshire Air National Guard and is a fireman at the Brunswick Naval Air Station.

A summer wedding is planned.
