LEWISTON – The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon lecture series on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at L-A College will feature Nancy Lecompte, director of research and education for Ne-Do-Ba, in a program entitled “Mollyockett and the Challenge of Researching Maine Indians.”

Lecompte will discuss the historical depiction of the Indian known as Mollyockett, as well as the problems in researching Maine’s Native Americans. Her recent book, “Alnobak: A Story of Indigenous People in Androscoggin County,” was published by the Androscoggin Historical Society. Copies will be available for purchase.

The program will be held in the function room at L-A College on Westminster Street. The cost, which includes lunch, is $5 with advance reservation and $7 at the door. Door opens at 11:45 a.m. and the program will begin at noon. For reservations call 753-6510 by Nov. 8.
