DIXFIELD – Deborah H. “Deb Red” Theriault, 44, of Bradley Street, Dixfield died Tuesday, Nov. 2, following a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Rumford, on March 27, 1960, a daughter of Stanwood T. and Elizabeth J. (Cloutier) Harting.

“Deb” was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Rumford High School Class of 1978, and the University of Maine at Farmington, Class of 1982.

She was a mortgage loan officer at Oxford Federal Credit Union for 15 years, and most recently she was employed as an ED Tech II at Mountain Valley Middle School. She was more than just a teacher; she not only taught the lessons, she connected with many of her students on a personal level.

She was married to David P. Theriault on June 29, 1985, at St. Athanasius St. John Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially preparing for holiday gatherings, cooking, traveling, fine dining, camping and walking.

She will be remembered as a very loving, giving and thoughtful person.

Survivors include her husband, David P. Theriault, of Dixfield; her father, Stanwood Theodore Harting and wife, Edla Harting, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two brothers, Bruce and wife, Paula Harting, of Canton, and Brian Harting and companion, Stacey Virgin, of Dixfield; two sisters, Gail Thompson and husband, Mark, of Peru, Diane Doiron and husband, Daniel, of Brunswick; nieces and nephews, Kevin and Kristi Harting, Erin and Brodie Thompson, Jonathan and Jenny Doiron, Haylee Jamison and Taya Harting, Jack and Megan Dorr; great-nieces and nephews, McKayla O’Brien, Caleb and Ethan Dorr, Ices and Josiah Labato; mother-in-law, Ruth Theriault, of Rumford and companion, Clayton Campbell; father-in-law, Lawrence Theriault and wife, Bobbi, of Boca Raton, Fla.; sister-in-law, Debbie Dorr and husband, Jack, of Rumford; brother-in-law, Daniel Theriault and companion, Lauree Pearson, of Charleston, S.C.

She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Harting in 1988, maternal grandparents, Gladys and Oliver Cloutier, and paternal grandparents, Velda and Ernest Harting.
