ANDOVER – David Percival easily won over four opponents for a seat on the Board of Selectmen.
Unofficial results showed Percival, a former Board of Appeals member and current member of the Land Advisory Board, taking 222 votes.
Bicentennial Committee member Philenia Chaisson took 73 votes, former Water District Board member Dianne Cutting took 72, former Selectman Laura Hutchins received 66, and selectmen’s secretary Hope Peterson took 44.
Percival will serve until the annual town meeting in March. He will complete the term started by former Selectman Joan Carney, who resigned because she is moving out of state.
A total of 550 people voted in the Nov. 2 election.
