“Boogie Nights” beauty Heather Graham is a single woman once again after parting ways with her producer boyfriend Chris Weitz, reports IMDB.com.

The couple, who dated for more than two years, remain close despite their romantic meltdown.

“We’re actually just friends. We broke up a little bit ago,” Graham said.

While friends say the pair’s relationship dissolved in September, Graham still insisted on attending an Oct. 24 fundraiser for the International Foundation For Terror Act Victims, which is close to Weitz’s heart.

“When he called me about this event, I was happy to do it with him,” she said.

Kilborn needs replacing

NEW YORK (AP) – “The Late Late Show” is asking four guest hosts to stay a little longer.

Actors Craig Ferguson and Michael Ian Black, comedian D.L. Hughley and MTV “Total Request Live” host Damien Fahey have been invited back for one-week tryouts as host of the CBS late-night talk show, which is searching for a replacement for Craig Kilborn.

Ferguson is up first, starting next week, followed by Hughley, Fahey and Black.

Fahey will have to make the quickest impression. He drew Thanksgiving week, when there will be only three shows.

The talk show, which follows the “Late Show With David Letterman,” is produced by Letterman’s company, Worldwide Pants.

Tom Keaney, spokesman for Worldwide Pants, said the four semifinalists were among the 20 people who filled in on the show this fall.

Worldwide Pants hopes to announce its selection next month, Keaney said Thursday.

Kilborn left at the end of August, saying he wanted to pursue writing and producing other TV projects. His decision to leave the talk show after five years caught the network by surprise.

Scarlett can’t make friends

Scarlett Johansson says L.A. life just isn’t for her, because she finds it hard to make friends, reports Ananova.com.

The “Lost In Translation” star recently moved from New York to California to further her career. But she says the move has been a culture shock because people try to use her celebrity status to advance themselves socially.

“L.A.’s a very hard place to be unless you have people there that love you,” she said. “It can be very, very lonely and it can eat you up if you don’t take care of yourself.”

She added: “There’s so much emphasis on what’s happening next, on who people can meet to better themselves. I’m not used to that. Growing up in New York, if you know one person, you know 20. If you go to a party where you don’t know many people, you end up meeting everybody. In L.A., nobody wants to talk to each other everybody’s giving each other catty looks.”

Meanwhile, “Bend It Like Beckham” star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has laughed off reports he is romancing Johansson, insisting he already has girlfriend, reports IMDB.com.

Rhys-Meyers, 27, is currently filming the untitled Woody Allen movie alongside 19-year-old Johansson in London.

After photographs were published of the couple “kissing,” he insisted they were taken during a movie scene.

“All the rumors are ridiculous. I have a girlfriend who I live with,” he said. “We played lovers in a film but that was it, honestly. We didn’t even do any off-set practice or anything.”

“JONES’ MOVE-UP

If you’ve been battling insomnia waiting for the release of the next episode in Renee Zellweger’s attempts to be a mildly plump Englishwoman desperate for love, take heart! The flick will be released in 500 theaters nationwide Nov. 12, a week earlier than planned. It’ll then storm 2,500 more cinemas Nov. 19. The reason is a happy one! It’s because, as a Universal Pictures news release touts, there’s been “highly enthusiastic reactions from press and exhibitors at early screenings.”

Last we saw Bridget, she was besotted with Colin Firth’s character. Will their neurotic love last? Will that dastardly Hugh Grant muck it all up? Crikey! We won’t be able to sleep for the next seven days.

MADGE AND VERSACE

What happens when world-renowned designer Donatella Versace turns to her bud, world-renowned vocalist (and non-lip-syncher) Madonna, for help publicizing her latest line of apparel? The Material Girl said sure, she’d love to pose for a new Versace TV and print ad campaign. Well, for $12 mil. According to the New York Daily News, while the early word was that Madge would do the turn as a favor, she has entered into negotiations, involving real dough. Everyone stands to gain here: The house of Versace, struggling lately, could use the boost, while the Mystical Mom would get to don some slinky rags to show how hot she still looks at the age of 46.

LANSING LEAVING PARAMOUNT

Paramount Pictures’ head honcha, Sherry Lansing, says she’ll step down at the end of next year. Lansing, who crashed through Hollywood’s glass ceiling when she became the first woman to head production at a major studio as president of 20th Century Fox in 1980, played a key role in getting such Paramount megahits as “Forrest Gump,” “Titanic” and “Fatal Attraction” to the big screen. She moved to Paramount in 1992 as chairman and chief executive officer. In the last two years, Lansing, 60, has been at the helm when the studio produced a raft of flops, including “The Stepford Wives,” “Narc,” and “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.”

Brandy looking for label

NEW YORK (AP) – Brandy is looking for a new record label.

Brandy, 25, split from her longtime label, Atlantic Records, her publicist, Courtney Barnes, announced Monday. The departure came after relatively disappointing sales of her last album, “Afrodisiac.” Although the album generated the moderate hit “Talk About Our Love” with Kanye West, it disappeared quickly from the charts.

It was a departure from her previous three albums, all of which sold at least 1 million copies.

Barnes says Brandy is looking at other labels and also plans to be co-executive producer of a comedy series for Fox television next year.

‘Spice’ takes time

Victoria Beckham was positively beaming as she watched her first collection for denim label Rock & Republic make its debut during Los Angeles Fashion Week, reports Hellomagazine.com.

The former Posh Spice was all smiles as she took to the catwalk last week with fellow members of the R&R team. And the grin was still firmly in place as she took time out from her busy schedule for a little retail therapy in some of the city’s trendiest outlets.

Meanwhile, back at home in Madrid, husband David Beckham was on Halloween duty. The proud father accompanied 5-year-old Brooklyn at his wizardly best in a black cape and matching black hat to school.

Kerry wins in a landslide! Alexandra Kerry, that is.

John Kerry’s filmmaker daughter who famously wore a sheer dress on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival has won heavy.com’s “Political Ho Down” contest, where Web-surfers cast their ballots for the sexiest political daughter, reports The New York Post.

Alexandra won with 172,824 votes, beating out Barbara Bush (124,712), Jenna Bush (64,295) and Cate Edwards (24,567).

“Overwhelmingly, Americans want to rock the vote with Alexandra over the other political daughters,” proclaims poll director David Carson.
