BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) – A 22-year-old man convicted of charges stemming from a graffiti spree that included the word “sent” in every image is headed to jail for 10 days.
Steven Goldfield did not fight four charges of unlawful mischief, which accused him of applying his spray-painted tag “sent” on mailboxes, walls, trash bins and other locations.
Goldfield was sentenced, following his mid-October plea in Vermont District Court in Burlington, to a prison term of six to nine months, all suspended but 10 days.
After his release he was placed on probation, court documents said.
Police cited Goldfield in March after officers saw him painting “sent” on a Pearl Street wall, according to court records.
Officers searched Goldfield’s apartment two days later and found pictures on his computer that showed him applying the “sent” graffiti tag, the records said.
