LEWISTON – Michael Calden, 19, of Intervale Road, Jay, died Friday morning, Nov. 5, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Sept. 10, 1985, in Farmington, the son of David Orman Calden and Rhonda McBean Calden. He received his education in Jay schools, and graduated from Jay High School in 2004.

He had been employed at Tim Pond Camps, Family Fare Restaurant in Farmington, and most recently at Damage Masonry Technicians.

He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on vehicles. He was planning on attending Central Maine Community College in the spring of 2005 to study automotive technology.

He loved his motorcycle and enjoyed snowmobiling.

He will be remembered as being considerate, loving and understanding.

He is survived by his father, David O. Calden of Jay; his mother, Rhonda Jane M. Calden of Jay; one brother, Jeffrey Calden, of Vassalboro; one sister, Jennifer Calden, of Jay; paternal grandmother, Marcia Calden, of Jay; maternal grandfather, Reggie McBean, of Wilton; longtime girlfriend, Leeanna Tibbetts, of Jay; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, the Rev. Orman Calden.
