Mr. Greg Boardman has run the strings program in Lewiston for 10 years. It runs for anyone in fourth grade all the way up to a senior in high school. He offers violin, viola, and cello for everyone. When you get into middle school you can start the string bass, if you wish. You don’t have to buy an instrument. You can rent one from Sirous music, a violin is $18, a viola is bigger so it’s $22, and a cello is even bigger so it’s the most expensive at $26. Mr. Greg Boardman has been playing an instrument for 40 years.

The program has already started in school, but if you’re really interested you might be able to start late anyway. Other wise you should wait until next year. I’m in the strings program at Lewiston Middle School, and I’ve been playing since fourth grade; I really enjoy it. My friends are doing it with me . I really love music. I hope you consider this awesome opportunity.
