Dear Sun Spots: I enjoy reading Sun Spots. I would like to know if the Bacon wax is still made and sold in stores? This wax is very good and used on rubber tile flooring. – Bertie in Berlin, N.H.
Answer: Unfortunately Sun Spots did not locate any. In the meantime, perhaps other readers out there familiar with this use may be able to assist. Also, perhaps the following recipe may work for you until you locate your Bacon wax:
Floor wax (hard-finish). Ingredients: ½ cup ceresin wax, 2 tablespoons yellow beeswax, 2 1/8 cups turpentine, 1 tablespoon pine oil. Method: Melt both waxes in a double boiler. Remove from heat and slowly stir in turpentine and pine oil. Cool and store in a glass container. To use, apply with a cloth; allow to dry, then polish.

Answer: Sun Spots has not heard anything and checked with our business reporter who also has not heard anything. Sun Spots would encourage you to keep trying to leave a message or contacting the owner.
