• Nov. 12, 1 a.m. – A Chevrolet sports utility vehicle, driven by Steven Perrault, 29, of Rumford, crashed into a Rumford Water District fire hydrant on Hancock Street near Mountain Valley High School. Perrault was summoned on charges of violation of conditions of release and operating a vehicle without a license. He is to be arraigned on Dec. 7 in Rumford District Court. The SUV was totaled; the hydrant sustained an estimated $1,000 damage.
• Nov. 11 – Two Rumford boys, aged 13 and 14, are to be in the Somerset Street neighborhood doing community service work after a police investigation pinned two criminal mischief incidents on them involving paintballs shot at buildings.
• Nov. 10 – A Rumford business reported a suspicious man in a car hanging around at closing time. The man, Steven Perrault, 29, of Rumford, was subsequently arrested and charged with a warrant for failure to pay fines. He was also summoned for operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was released on $250 cash bail.
• Nov. 10 – An Erchles Street resident reported that someone had tried to break into her truck, causing damage to the driver’s side door.
• Nov. 10 – A Waldo Street resident reported that someone attempted to break into her residence during the night while she was asleep. Window screens had been removed.
• Nov. 9 – A Cumberland Street resident reported that someone had urinated on their car and inflicted several small dents on the hood.
• Nov. 8 – An Erchles Street resident reported that someone had spraypainted their car. A neighborhood juvenile admitted to the criminal mischief and the incident is being taken care of by the youth’s parents.
• Nov. 7 – A Clachan Place resident reported that someone flattened his vehicle’s tires during the overnight.
• Nov. 6, 1:30 p.m. – A Waldo Street resident reported that someone slashed a tire on her car sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The victim has a suspect in the case.
• Nov. 6 – A Somerset Street resident reported that kids were damaging her rock wall.
• Nov. 6, 11:10 p.m. – A 2001 BMW sports utility vehicle driven by Bernard Chrysler, 57, of Quebec, Canada, collided with a deer on Route 2. The SUV sustained an estimated $2,000 in damage.
• Nov. 5, 7:05 p.m. – A Rumford resident reported there were several intoxicated youths aged 13 and 14 near the ballfields on Falmouth Street, and an incident of possible unlawful sexual contact with an intoxicated 13-year-old girl. The matter remained under investigation on Nov. 12.
• Nov. 1 – A Franklin Street resident reported a case of identity theft after receiving delivery of UPS packages that were purchased with credit cards in his name, despite not owning any credit cards. The case remains under investigation.
• Oct. 29 – A Mexico resident reported a scam after receiving a mailing indicating she won something that required her to submit a bank account number.
• Oct. 27 – A Knox Street resident reported that someone had entered her car during the night and stolen two music compact discs and change.

All of the following are to be arraigned on Dec. 7 in Rumford District Court:
• Elizabeth J. Kass, 20, of Sanford, on a charge of operating under the influence and operating after suspension, at 1:08 a.m. Nov. 10.
• Eric M. Richard, 28, of Rumford, on a warrant for failure to pay fine on a charge of criminal mischief, on Nov. 7. He failed to post $400 cash bail and was transported to Oxford County jail.
• Amy M. Rawlings, 19, of Rumford, on warrants for failure to appear on charges of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and trafficking in scheduled drugs, at 3:38 p.m. Nov. 4. She was transported to Oxford County jail.
• Sherman B. Owens, 45, of Rumford, on a Lewiston police warrant for failure to appear on a charge of threatening to display a weapon, at 2:31 p.m. Nov. 4. He was transported to Oxford County jail.
• Leslie R. Woods, 50, of Rumford, on charges of disorderly conduct and violation of conditions of release, at 10:13 a.m. Nov. 4. He was transported to Oxford County jail.
• A 14-year-old Rumford boy on a charge of domestic assault, at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 2. He was released to a parent.
• William C. Perry, 20, of Rumford, on a charge of operating after suspension, at 3:25 p.m. Nov. 2. He was also summoned for operating a defective motor vehicle. He was released on $100 cash bail.
• Bryan Worthley, 31, of Mexico, on warrants for failure to pay fines on charges of operating after suspension and negotiating a worthless instrument, at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 1. He was transported to Oxford County jail.
• Michael D. Richard, 50, of Rumford, on a charge of domestic assault, at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 1. He was released on $250 unsecured bail.
• Naphtali J. Gill-Austern, 22, of Farmington, on a charge of operating after suspension and a warrant for failure to pay fines, at 11 p.m. Oct. 31. He was released on $150 unsecured bail.
• Scott A. Haynes, 43, of Buckfield, on a charge of operating under the influence, second offense, at 8:27 a.m. Oct. 30. He was also summoned on a charge of operating beyond license restrictions, a safety belt violation, possession of marijuana, and for emitting visible emissions. He was released on $160 cash bail.
• Travis Cyr, 19, of Rumford, on charges of violation of conditions of release and disorderly conduct, at 3 a.m. on Oct. 30. He was transported to Oxford County jail.
• Travis Cyr, 19, of Rumford, on a charge of disorderly conduct, at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 30. He was released on $150 unsecured bail.
• Timothy R. Smith, 36, of East Andover, on a charge of operating under the influence, at 9:54 p.m. Oct. 28. He was released on $700 unsecured bail.
