Eighth graders from Phillip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon are going to Lowell, Massachusetts during their interdisciplinary unit focusing on the Industrial Revolution. Our eighth grade class will investigate immigration, the textile industry, and the importance of the river to manufacturing through activities at the Lowell Mill. We will also study the past and present use of the mills, and the lives of the mill workers.
The eighth grade class worked hard fundraising for the trip by selling magazines through QSP. The trip will be on Tue., Nov. 30.
Keep an eye out for our next article about our adventures back to the time of the Industrial Revolution in Lowell Massachusetts.
