PARIS – The 30th annual craft fair organized by Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School students will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the school. More than 150 crafters will showcase their items, including Victorian lampshades, baskets, pottery, stained glass, jewelry, balsam products, pewter, Christmas decorations, antique framed pictures, jams and fudge. There will be crafting demonstrations, pictures with Santa from noon to 2 p.m., more than 75 door prizes, lunches served, gift wrapping, and performance by the Viking Travel Choir. There will be free baby-sitting. Admission is $1 for adults; people 18 and under get in free. More information may be obtained by calling 743-7756, extension 5100.

Toys on Parade’

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade theme will be “Toys on Parade.” The theme was chosen from dozens reviewed by the Christmas Parade Committee. Toys on Parade will reflect the spirit of the season through the eyes of a child. The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, snow, rain or shine. According to Chamber of Commerce CEO John Williams, the parade is open to any business, nonprofit organization, civic organization, school group or other group. Registration forms for float entries can be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce at 213 Main St. between Bessey Motors and Littlefield Greenhouse and Florist. Awards and banners will be given to winners in three categories, large business, small business and nonprofit. Fire, rescue and law enforcement units from surrounding towns will be in the parade along with the Kora Temple Log Rollers Mini Truck Unit, the high school and middle school bands, and the Silver Dolphins Marching Drill Team from Groton, Conn., naval base.
