GRAY – Harmonica player James Montgomery is bringing his style of blues to the Loose Moose Saloon, 61 Portland Road, Route 100, on Saturday, Nov. 27.

When Montgomery records with Kid Rock, sits in with Gregg Allman or fronts his band of 30 years, he plays with authority. While growing up in Detroit, he learned firsthand from masters such as James Cotton, John Lee Hooker and Junior Wells. Over the years, he has carried on in that tradition.

In 1970, while attending Boston University, he formed the James Montgomery Band. He has recorded six albums, beginning with “First Time Out” and including “Bring it on Home” his most recent.
