PORTLAND (AP) – Jakub Klepis scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Portland Pirates defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-2 Friday in the American Hockey League.
Maxime Ouellet made 30 saves and Brooks Laich scored a goal and added an assist for the Pirates (8-4-1-2).
Hartford (10-3-1-0) grabbed a 1-0 lead when Ryan Hollweg scored 5:51 into the game. Laich tied it at 12:19 of the second, but the Wolf Pack regained the lead when Jaime Lundmark netted his first of the season with nine seconds remaining.
Klepis tied it 2-2 on the power play at 2:24 of the third period, and he netted the game-winner at 1:11 of overtime.
The Wolf Pack outshot the Pirates 32-25 overall and held an 11-4 edge at the first intermission.
Goalie Jason LaBarbera made 22 saves in the Wolf Pack’s loss.
