EAST WILTON – Lois Vienneau, 82, of Mexico, died Saturday morning, Nov. 20, after a short illness at her daughter’s home in East Wilton, surrounded by her family.

She was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Rumford, a daughter of William and Ella Gilman.

She received her education in local schools and graduated from Stephen’s High School in 1940.

She worked at New England Tel and Tel and Meroby Elementary School serving hot lunch.

She married Ted Vienneau in 1945.

Mrs. Vienneau was a member of the Mexico Congregational Church where she shared the back row with many special friends who called themselves “The Golden Girls.” She was a member of the Senior Citizen’s, Women’s Fellowship, and WOW’s She also was a volunteer at the Food Cupboard at the Green Church.

She will be missed by her family and special friends; including three sons and their wives, Larry and Judy, of Las Vegas, Billy and Mindy, of Dixfield, and Jeff and Carol, of Jay; one daughter, Sally Tibbetts and her husband, Richard, of Wilton; one step-son, Jimmy and his wife, Tommy; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; and youngest son, David Vienneau.
