RUMFORD – Black Mountain of Maine welcomes Beth Bellegard and Mickey Forbes as part of its team.

Bellegard will oversee the public relations at Black Mountain. Her duties will include organizing the events on the mountain such as the ski races, group activities, special events, the Need to Ski Pass, and the employee recognition programs, among other organizational duties.

Her past experience includes working for Michael J. Mills Landscaping, the town of Rumford as a voter registrar, and Maine Handicapped Skiing as an administrative assistant.

Bellegard grew up in Maine and has been a Rumford resident for the last 20 years. She and her husband, David, have four teenage children: Garrett, Gabrielle, David II and Dylan. Bellegard was a volunteer ski instructor at Black Mountain for 10 years. She volunteers in the spring for the Trek across Maine and is active in church activities.

Forbes is director of food and beverages. Originally from Livermore, he now resides in Bryant Pond with his family.

He has 20 years’ experience in the food and beverage business, previously working in a Holiday Inn in Portland before moving to the Bethel area 15 years ago. He ran the Suds Pub for many years, and he worked in other area restaurants.

He grew up skiing at Spruce Mountain in Jay, a small community ski area, which was managed by his father for several years.
