LEWISTON – Florence H. Watson, 81, of Minot, died Friday, Nov. 26.

She was born in Bethel, Sept. 3, 1923, a daughter of John and Hazel Estes. She was one of 14 children.

Family was very important to her. She was known by her many friends for her sense of humor and warm smile. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She loved people and remained an active member of the Auburn Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.

She is survived by three of her children, a daughter, Hazel Cole and her husband, Irving, of Greenwood, a son, Dale Poland and his wife, Lea, of Minot, and a daughter, Donna Kinney of Conroe, Texas; three brothers, Alfred Estes of Farmington, Harold Estes and his wife, Barbara, of Livermore Falls, and Hebert Estes and his wife, Esther, of Norway; two sisters, Mary Robinson of Sumner, and Clara Wilson of West Paris; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Leon L. Poland; a son, Leon L. Poland Jr.; her husband, George L. Watson; and several brothers and sisters.
