Headlines front page, Sun Journal, Nov. 20: “Four teams face off today in state title games.”
The front page of the Sports section, Nov. 20, featured extensive stories about Jay vs. Bucksport; Mountain Valley vs. Winslow.
Did the Sun Journal forget the Class A game, Bangor vs. Bonny Eagle? This game was also played at Fitzpatrick Stadium on the same day.
Even on Nov. 21, the Sun Journal gave a small article about the Bangor game, but again all kinds of coverage for the Class B and Class C games.
The Sun Journal also failed to cover the Class C boys state soccer game, won by Carrabec in three overtimes.
Let’s be fair to all the teams that play in state championships and cover all the games.
