HANOVER, N.H. (AP) – David Dubois scored a game-high 17 points for Maine as it held on for a 58-52 win over Dartmouth on Monday night.

Dubois had 11 points in the first half as Maine (2-2) built a 39-31 lead at the break.

Trailing 53-40, with 5:48 to play, Dartmouth (1-2) reduced the margin to three, 55-52, when Steve Callahan banged in a 3-pointer with 1:51 on the clock. That capped a 12-2 Dartmouth run that included six points by Calvin Arnold.

Maine’s Ernest Turner made three of four free throws in the final 1:27 to seal the win.

Maine’s Kevin Reed provided 11 rebounds and seven points.
