The motorists in this area should be forced to walk or ride a bike, as some of us choose to or have to, to learn firsthand how rude to us they have become and how they willfully violate our basic rights as pedestrians, the laws which apply to us all, and regularly terrorize and endanger our well-being and lives in the course of their self-indulgent and reckless driving habits.

If more pedestrians are not killed or injured in this area and elsewhere, it is only because we cower and surrender our basic rights to them out of fear, and because we fully know how little they care about our safety, the law or civilized conduct itself.

I wish the police could do something about this, but I know they can’t, either.
