NEW SHARON – A 46-year-old New Sharon woman was arrested after she made calls to the 911 emergency line for an animal complaint.
Karla Lilley called police on the emergency line three times Saturday to complain about dogs defecating on her lawn on Mile Hill Road in New Sharon, according to Detective Niles Yeaton.
Deputy Heidi Gould had spoken with Lilley on the phone, advising her not to use the emergency line for this purpose.
When Lilley made her third call, Gould arrested her.
Lilley was taken to Franklin County Jail and released the same day on $3,000 unsecured bail. A court date has been set for late January.
