LIVERMORE FALLS – Two men face criminal charges after police responded to an ambulance call at 6:17 p.m. Friday of an unconscious man at 20 Wheeler St.

Shawn Newcomb, 34, of Jay was arrested on charges of hindering apprehension and attempting to destroy evidence, Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

Christopher Newcomb, age unknown, of Livermore Falls, was issued a summons on charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of cocaine, Steward said.

The ambulance was called for Christopher Newcomb, Steward said, and Shawn Newcomb was discovered trying to flush marijuana and cocaine down the toilet when police arrived, the chief said.
