BRYANT POND – The wedding of Charlene D. Morang Cash and James K. Hoyt was held on a sunny day at 2 p.m. on Sept. 4 at the Bryant Pond Baptist Church. Pastor Edward Gammon Sr. officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hoyt is the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Morang of South Paris. Mr. Hoyt is the son of Kenneth and Alice Hoyt of Bryant Pond.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Ike Morang, wore an ivory beaded gown, which was off the shoulder and she carried a bouquet of lavender and white mixed flowers and greens.

Becky McAlister, friend of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Crystal Cash, daughter of the bride, Maggie Hoyt, daughter of the bridegroom, and Marybeth Hoover, niece of the bridegroom.

Serving as best man was David McAlister, friend of the bridegroom, and groomsmen were Robert Hoyt, brother of the bridegroom, Cylas Cash, son of the bride, and Joseph Hoyt, son of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Locke Mills American Legion Hall in Greenwood, after which the couple traveled to Ontario, Niagara Falls and Clifton Hills. They are residing in Norway.

The bride is a 1979 graduate of Oxford Hills High School and a 1997 graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta with an associate degree in social services, along with certification as a mental health rehabilitation technician II. She has also attended the Maine Criminal Justice Academy for Corrections and is currently employed as a corrections officer at the Oxford County Jail.

The bridegroom is a 1978 graduate of Telstar Regional High School and attended the Maine Criminal Justice Academy for Corrections. He is currently employed as a sergeant corrections officer at the Oxford County Jail.
