FARMINGTON – Sexual Assault Victims Emergency Services has received a $1,900 grant from the H.H. Cummings Charitable Fund and the Maine Community Foundation. The Maine Women’s Fund also awarded SAVES a $1,000 grant earlier this fall.
These grants will help finance a new SAVES program called Girls to Girls: Print Media Outreach. This program is designed to reduce middle school girls’ vulnerability to sexual exploitation and violence through a campaign developed with input from focus groups composed of girls from area high schools.
More information may be obtained by calling SAVES at 778-9522.
